Each year I take some time off from traveling and participating in some crazy sports that most people call extreme sports. I like to take that time off to spend with family and usually my time off coincides with winter because I am no fan of cold weather. I am a sports junkie and an adrenaline seeker, but it is definitely great to get a break here and there. While I am on the break there is one thing I do not want to happen though. I do not want to get out of shape so that I have to recondition my body after each and every break.
Staying in top physical condition is important for all people in my opinion. It is especially important for athletes and recreational sports players. While I do believe in relaxation, I in no way want to show up to an ocean with huge waves unable to even paddle out to surf. No, I want to be able to take it on instantly. So how do I keep up with my fitness when I’m not living an extreme life?
Easy, I perform high intensity interval training, or HIIT. HIIT is a type of exercise that is sweeping the nation with things like Insanity and Tabata. Find out more about it below.
